When the HCI Extended Warranty is purchased, your order will include a copy of the applicable manufacturer’s warranty. This document outlines the manufacturer’s specific warranty terms, coverage parameters, and exclusions that also apply during the extended warranty period.
Claims Process
Step 1: Initial Claim Submission
Contact HCI with the following:
- Your order number
- A detailed description of the issue
- Photos of the area of concern
- Photo of the cylinder’s serial number
Step 2: Preliminary Evaluation
HCI will review your submission and determine whether the cylinder should be returned for warranty consideration.
Step 3: Cylinder Return
If HCI requests the cylinder for evaluation:
- Customer is responsible for removing the cylinder from the equipment
- Customer pays freight to ship the cylinder to HCI
Step 4: Replacement Option
Customers requiring immediate replacement may purchase a cylinder at standard pricing, including freight. HCI will expedite shipment upon receipt of order.
Step 5: Final Determination
Once the returned cylinder is received and inspected:
- If covered under warranty: HCI will ship a replacement cylinder and cover freight. If the customer already purchased a replacement under Step 4, HCI will issue credit for that replacement cylinder and freight.
- If not covered under warranty: Customer may pay freight to have the cylinder returned or authorize HCI to dispose of it.
Remedy
At HCI’s discretion: replacement with equivalent product. The extended warranty does not transfer to replacement units.
Limitations
Warranty claims shall not, under any circumstances, exceed the original purchase price of the cylinder.
